Arson attempt on Rotorua's red shed
A sprinkler system
helped control an arson attempt on The Warehouse in Rotorua
yesterday.
Detective Sergeant
John Wilson said police were called about 9.30pm after a stack of
wooden pellets was set alight at the rear of the Red Shed in the
central city.
The pellets were
destroyed and flames were seen above the building but Mr. Wilson
said The Warehouse's sprinkler system meant the building sustained
only soot damage.
He said two youths
were seen running in the area around the time of the fire but it was
not clear if they were connected to the blaze.

information about the fire is asked to contact Rotorua police.
